Looking for energetic people who want to have a career working in our plant! Looking for an experienced Kettle Operator with reactor experience preferred.
Guaranteed annual pay increases; as Kettle Operator you will start at $26.43 per hour, plus shift differential 3.5% on base rate for any hours worked. Increase to $30.33 hr. after 1 year and $34.71 hr. after 2 years with our tier system. This position will work in our pilot kettle department.
Midnight shift position, Monday-Friday 11:45pm-7:45am (Monday shift starts 11:45pm Sunday evening)

To operate the pilot kettle for both production and new product development. This includes such duties as: obtaining raw materials, charging, operating, and cleaning the kettleCarry out physical and chemical control tests on resins from plant production and/or experimental batches. Keep records of test results, file away the samples. At any time when there is no work such as outlined above, the Pilot Plant Operator may be assigned to duties as outlined under Laboratory Technician. Perform in-process lab testing and associated equipment calibrations as required.Clean the bottom of kettle, install new gaskets or chip kettle, if necessary.Stage charges at the kettle as required.When available, may be assigned to utility job function as required.Operate forklift as instructed by supervision or as required to perform job duties.Keep equipment and assigned work area clean and in order.During the course of performing job duties, must be able to prevent/contain chemical spills in order to ensure employee safety and protection of the environment. Perform any and all supplemental duties involving the use of common skills while performing normal job functions. Qualification: Must be physically able to perform job duties as specified above. Must climb stairs and ladders, use hand tools & jackhammer, shovel, push & pull various non-powered material handling equipment, operate valves, and operate forklift in a safe manner.Compensation details: 26.43-26.43 Hourly Wage
